Sophie Turner Teases Sansa Stark's 'Game Of Thrones' Future In Season 7

Sophie Turner

Finally making its return in just over a week, critically-acclaimed HBO fantasy series 'Game of Thrones' will be on everyone's lips for the next couple of months, as it undoubtedly delivers some action-packed episodes, full of twists and turns as the series nears its grand finale and eighth, conclusive season.

Sophie Turner has held the role of Sansa Stark for six full seasons to-dateSophie Turner has held the role of Sansa Stark for six full seasons to-date

For six seasons to-date, we've seen those working on the show deal out some meaty storylines, following the plot woven throughout the original but incomplete novel series 'A Song of Ice & Fire' by George R R Martin at times, but deviating from his plot on a number of occasions to serve the viewers who have read the books something fresh and unique. Now, all the scenes we'll see will be new ones, as the show has leapt ahead of where Martin's got up to with his book series, so there will be surprises with every episode.

Sophie Turner's Unconventional Sex Education On 'Game Of Thrones'

Sophie Turner

Sophie Turner was just 13-years-old when she started shooting 'Game of Thrones', and it turned out to be quite the educational experience for her. She has recently confessed that she was oblivious to the mechanics of half the sexual references within the script.

The actress, who plays Sansa Stark in the HBO fantasy franchise, is now 21-years-old and probably well clued up by now in terms of sex education - but that wasn't the situation when she first landed the role. She was as innocent as innocent could be!

Sophie Turner Denies Using Racial Slur In Viral Video

Sophie Turner

‘Game of Thrones’ star Sophie Turner has denied using a racial slur in an Instagram video that has gone viral, claiming that she was misheard.

The 21 year old English actress sparked a huge backlash on social media after many believed she used the ‘n-word’ in a clip shared by her boyfriend Joe Jonas that has since been deleted after it went up earlier this week. It showed fitness guru Brendan Fallis introducing the star and Jonas, before she allegedly used the offensive term (which is unintelligible in the video itself and up for debate) having said “what’s up”.

Thrones Recap: The One Where Things Are Still Horrible

Sophie Turner Kit Harington

Ok, I didn’t want to do this, but we have to. Let’s talk Game of Thrones. Particularly after last week’s awful, awful, bad thing that the writers put in unnecessarily, because why not have another rape scene disempowering  a central character, in a show that’s supposedly all about powerful women. Oh yeah, if you haven’t figured it out already, SPOILERS. All of the spoilers.

Game of Thrones cast
George R. R. Martin with the Game of Thrones cast in 2013. Let's play a game of "count the survivors".

So, a week  after we had to watch the gruesome, cringe-inducing scene between Ramsay and Sansa, we find lady Stark (soon to be Bolton) in even more dire straits, if that’s even possible. Weeks after she was promised to Ramsay – in an attempt by herself and Littlefinger to win back some power and avenge her family – we find Sansa locked in her room when Reek brings her food. Bruises cover her arms. She begs the man who was once Theon to help her, makes him promise to light a candle in the tower so that someone will come to save her.

Kit Harington Alexander Siddig Alfie Allen Gwendoline Christie Nikolaj Coster-Waldau Peter Dinklage Emilia Clarke Lena Headey Sophie Turner Maisie Williams Jerome Flynn George R. R. Martin Rory McCann

Prince Doran - We've only seen Prince Doran Martell (Alexander Siddig) in one episode so far, he's already made a strong impression on everyone. The elder brother of fan favourite Oberyn, who came to a horribly messy end in the last season, Prince Doran is trying his best to keep the peace in Dorne, and stop his people from seeking revenge against the Lannisters. It stands to reason, however, that his death would make give them a great reason to rise up and start a war.

Brienne/Podrick - Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) and Podrick (Daniel Portman) have been giving us a good dose of the "two buddies traveling", following in the footsteps of Tyrion (Peter Dinklage ) and Bronn (Jerome Flynn), and Arya (Maisie Williams) and the Hound (Rory McCann). The problem is, that each of those has come to a rather disastrous ending at some point, and the death of Brienne or Podrick seems likely - especially with what they seem to be getting themselves into.

Sophie Turner Learnt Everything She Needed To Know About Sex From Working On 'Game Of Thrones'

Sophie Turner

Sophie Turner has said she learnt all she needed to know about sex from working on the raunchy HBO epic ‘Game of Thrones’. The 19-year-old actress has admitted that by the age of 16 she had to tell her mother the sex talk wasn't really necessary, as she already knew it all from her role in the series.

Sophie TurnerThe actress plays Sansa Stark in the HBO series.

Speaking about the often cringeworthy moment when mothers tell their daughters about the birds and the bees, Sophie said she told her mum, “This isn’t necessary, I know everything. I know every single thing that a person can do — and more. The show is very inventive.”

X-Men: Apocalypse Casts Three New Faces

X-Men Sophie Turner Tye Sheridan Game Of Thrones Alexandra Shipp

Some breaking superhero movie news: director Bryan Singer has unveiled casting details for three characters in his forthcoming project X-Men: Apocalypse. Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan and Alexandra Shipp will all play younger versions of three of the mythology’s most popular characters.

Singer, who is already attached for the eighth instalment in the popular movie franchise, tweeted the casting announcements on Thursday. The biggest news is the inclusion of Turner, famous for her portrayal of the tormented Sansa Stark on ‘Game Of Thrones’, who will be playing a younger version of the ultra-telepathic Jean Grey. That makes her the second ‘Game of Thrones’ star to also feature in the franchise – Peter Dinklage played the baddie in last year’s Days of Future Past.

"Game Of Thrones" Recap: "Mockingbird" Or "Exposition, Exposition, Character Death"

Sophie Turner Peter Dinklage

The episodes of Game of Thrones, filled with shocking deaths and stunning plot twists are usually the ones that get the most press, but it is often episodes like last night’s Mockingbird – slow, precise and dialogue heavy – that really serve to move the plot forward and give us an insight into the characters . If you haven’t guessed it already, this is your spoiler warning for Season 4 Episode 7 – Mockingbird.

Game of Thrones Promo Image
Game of Thrones - where noone is ever safe.

The episode opens with another impassioned chat between Jaime and Tyrion – a broken Tyrion, who is just about to have his fate sealed in a trial by combat. Unfortunately, Tyrion’s only friend at King’s Landing – Jaime – is still hopeless with any kind of weapon and facing Gregor Clegane (aptly nicknamed “The Mountain That Rides”) is completely out of the question. Of course, there’s always Bronn. The wisecracking sidekick is only a sellsword, but he has developed a sort-of friendship with Tyrion over the past two seasons, surely he’d agree to be the Imp’s champion, right? Wrong. Bronn has been bought off with a wife and castles and the realization stabs us through the hearts almost as much as it does Tyrion.

"Game Of Thrones" Episode 3 Recap: Whodunit? Who Cares?

Emilia Clarke Lena Headey Nikolaj Coster-Waldau Peter Dinklage Maisie Williams Sophie Turner

Before talking about this week’s Game of Thrones, we should probably dish out the warnings with a heavy hand. Beware of ALL THE SPOILERS for Season 4 Episode 3 Breaker of Chains. Also, this should go without saying, but all the trigger warnings: sexual assault, violence and various very graphic murders. Now that that’s out of the way…

Peter Dinklage, Game of Thrones
Looks like Tyrion is about to reach the end of the line. We're betting on a plot twist though...

This episode sets up like a classic whodunit. With Joffrey dead (good riddance, although Jack Gleeson’s acting will be missed), Lord Tywin is trying to prepare little Tommen for his new role as king. The boy wants to be a “good king”, which would be admirable, if it weren’t for the fact that he’s like 12. Cercei, meanwhile, is only concerned with who killed her son. Well, she’s also concerned with getting revenge on Tyrion, whom she thinks is the killer, finding Sansa (who escaped during the commotion caused by Joff’s death) and just a bit of incest next to Joff’s body, but that’s just standard Westeros fare at this point.

The Women Of 'Game Of Thrones': Who Wins, Who Dies, Who Gets It On In Season 4?

Lena Headey Emilia Clarke Maisie Williams Sophie Turner Natalie Dormer

Let’s talk Game of Thrones. After the second Season 4 trailer, aptly titled Vengeance, was released, the internet – to put it mildly – went nuts. Because no one will be able to stop talking about GoT until April, let’s go into some details. Namely – what’s happening to the ladies in Thrones this season? The women on this show have been particularly disadvantaged from the start, presumably because the action is set in a magical, mystical equivalent of the middle ages. This season Cercei, Daenerys, Arya, Sansa and the rest of them won’t suffer any fools, by the looks of it.

Maisie Williams, Screen Actors Guild Awards After-Party
Maisie Williams (Arya) - your favorite little sociopath wants revenge.

The trailer begins with Arya (Maisie Williams) saying “I can’t sleep until I say the names... the ones I’m going to kill.” You already know some serious vengeance is about to go down. Although in the trailer, we mostly see her wondering around aimlessly after the death of her mother and brother, so maybe our favorite little murderer isn’t ready to begin her reign of terror yet.

Game of Thrones got a treat last week, with a rather unusual 15-minute promo of the upcoming fourth season. It featured some things we expected and few surprises (given that it was a promo), but it’s sure to spur on the Thrones speculation ahead of the series 4 premiere on April 6.
