Sophie Monk, the Australian pop singer, model and actress, has announced her engagement to the businessman JIMMY ESEBAG, whose company 'United Licensing Group', owns the rights to the Playboy brand. 31-year-old Monk, who was once a member of the band BARDOT, has also appeared in a number of recent comedy films such as 'Date Movie' and 'Click'.
Speaking on the Australian radio station 2DayFM this week, Monk said, "I got engaged! It feels right. I think you know when you know". Her new fiance, 50-year-old Esebag, is the chairman of the United Licensing Group and is also involved with the Elite Modelling Agency. Monk revealed that her soon-to-be husband is of French origin and that the pair had been friends for sometime before getting together. She was previously engaged to the record producer Benji Madden but the couple broke off their relationship in 2008.
Sophie Monk, who has also been romantically linked to the television personality Ryan Seacrest, recently posted a message on her Facebook page that read, "It's going to be a good year. My best friend of a long, long time just happens to be my soul partner; funny how life takes you where you are finally meant to be".
