Actress Sophia Bush is urging her fans to dig deep to donate to a fund assisting Australia's flood victims, as downpours continue to batter the country.
Thousands of families were evacuated and 41 areas of Queensland were declared natural disaster zones last month (Dec10) as rising waters blighted communities and cut off towns in the state.
The disaster has widened since the New Year (11), with Brisbane residents being urged to evacuate, and as WENN went to press, nine people had lost their lives and more than 70 reported missing.
Bush has taken to her Twitter.com page to express her sadness over the crisis and has urged her online followers to support Queensland Government's fundraising initiative to help those affected by the floods.
In a series of posts, she writes, "This is so sad. Please lend a hand to help those affected in the Queensland floods in Australia - www.qld.gov.au/floods or call 1800219028. Please send good thoughts to Queensland. It's awful."
