Sofia Vergara, the Columbian actress named 'Best Dressed' celebrity at the recent Emmy Awards, has designed her own range of clothing for Kmart, claiming the line can make women look "a million dollars". The 'Modern Family' star launched the range of skirts, tops, denim, dresses and jewellery at "super affordable prices".
Often hailed as a 'curvaceous' fashion icon, Sofia said she took inspiration from the Paris and New York runways, while adding affordability and comfort. Speaking to People Magazine, the actress explained, "I wanted a woman to be able to buy clothes and to look in magazines and say, Oh, this looks a little bit like the dress I own for 20 bucks, though this is a $3,000 dress". Sofia, who was wearing her own branded jeans, added, "They're 29 bucks . but look like a million dollars". She has also taken inspiration from her 'Modern Family' character Gloria, who is often seen wearing the creations on-screen. Sofia said, "It's perfect for her. Gloria loves animal prints and color, necklaces, so I'm using everything". She plans to add range of party dresses to the line for Christmas and New Year's Eve.
As well as her role on Modern Family, Vergara is set to appear in the upcoming Farrelly brothers comedy 'The Three Stooges', with Jane Lynch and JENNIFER HUDSON.
