Whilst all of the two-legged stars of 'Modern Family' have fortunately found an agreement with show bosses that will see them sign new contracts, the program's four-legged cast member has been unceremoniously booted out of the door, according to TMZ.
Apparently, the French bulldog who plays Stella - the pooch of character Jay Pritchett - has been secretly shown the door and will be replaced by a lookalike for the new season. Brigitte, the dog's real name, had been hired a Hollywood animal agency called Good Dog Animals who then subleased her to 'Modern Family' shortly before season two. Unfortunately for the mutt, GDA decided they didn't want to work with her anymore and thus she's not been replaced by another canine named Beatrice.
After a long running dispute though, the show's main stars Sofia Vergara, ED O'NEILL, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson have reached a deal with ABC, according to The Press Association. It's a refreshing move after the actors had at one point last week threatened the network with a lawsuit in order to get out of their current contracts. With that now put to bed filming for the fourth season will begin today (July 30th). The exact terms of the deal have not yet been released but it is expected to be a substantial increase on their current salary. Brigitte, however, will be back on the dole.
