A former member of British hip-hop group So Solid Crew has been sentenced to 120 hours community service after he was convicted of assaulting his girlfriend.
Darren Weir, known as Skat D during his time in the band, pleaded guilty to punching his unnamed lover in the face during an argument over laundry last August (10).
On Thursday (16Jun11), he was sentenced to 120 hours community service and ordered to pay his now ex-girlfriend $80 (£50) compensation. He was also given an 18-month supervision order at Bromley Magistrates’ Court in London.
Weir's former partner has taken out a restraining order against him.
