Northern Irish rockers Snow Patrol were so terrified about performing at poverty awareness bash Live 8 - they didn't enjoy the experience at all.

The SPITTING GAMES hitmakers, one of few bands to sing at two Live 8 gigs in London's Hyde Park and Murrayfield, Scotland in July (05), preferred supporting Irish band U2 during their VERTIGO tour earlier this year.

Frontman GARY LIGHTBODY says, "Doing Live 8 was special, but the gig itself was too terrifying and over too quickly to enjoy really.

"I was close to crying when we supported (U2), especially in Dublin. It was awesome."
