He still insists it's not a political record.
Snoop Dogg is unapologetic about his feelings on the current President of the United States, unveiling the artwork for his new EP 'Make America Crip Again' featuring Donald Trump as a corpse. It's almost exactly the same as Ice Cube's 1991 album 'Death Certificate'.

While Ice Cube's album featured a corpse on a mortuary table draped in an American flag with a toe tag reading 'Uncle Sam', Snoop Dogg's artwork is exactly the same except the tag reads 'Trump' and he is in the background holding a blue party cup.
It's another parody of the assassination of Donald Trump, something that was touched on when he appeared in the video for BadBadNotGood's song 'Lavender' featuring Kaytranada. The title, 'Make America Crip Again', is in reference to a lyric on the EP which goes: 'The president says he wants to make America great again. F*** that s***, we going to make America Crip again.'

However, Snoop insists that there is nothing political about his music. 'It's not a statement or a political act: it's just good music', he told Rolling Stone. 'Certain people feel like we should make America 'great again,' but that time they're referring to always takes me back to separation and segregation so I'd rather Make America Crip Again.'
If you're wondering why Snoop would be endorsing a gang with known tendencies towards extreme violence, that's not what he's all about. 'The Crips' main and sole purpose was to be the reflection of the Black Panthers', he continued. 'They looked after kids, provided after-school activities, fed them and stepped in as role models and father figures.'
