Music veteran Smokey Robinson has been sued by his former lawyers over allegations he has failed to settle an outstanding bill.

The 74-year-old Motown star is the target of a lawsuit filed by officials at Los Angeles-based firm King Holmes Paterno & Berliner, who allege Robinson owes them $170,000 (£106,250).

However, the star's representative insists lawyers at the company negotiated agreements without their client's permission and he has refused to settle the bill. He plans to countersue the firm over the matter, according to Tmz.com.
