Rock legend Slash has performed a show in Japan just days after the country was devastated by an earthquake and tsunami, which has left thousands dead.
The former Guns N' Roses guitarist refused to cancel his trip to the country in the aftermath of the tragedy, which saw a massive tidal wave sweep inland and obliterate numerous towns and villages on the east coast.
He was forced to scrap three shows in Tokyo and Yokohama, but decided to fly to the country on Sunday (13Mar11) and go ahead with his gig in Osaka on Monday night (14Mar11).
And the rocker has praised his Japanese fans for turning out to see him play, despite the horrific events of the past few days.
In a series of posts on his Twitter.com page, he writes, "Great gig in Osaka tonight. Great spirits, despite all that has happened... We're positively coming back soon to play Tokyo & Yokohama. In the meantime, lots of love to the Japanese fans. U will make it thru these difficult times."
