Slash performed with his former Guns N' Roses bandmates Matt Sorum and Duff Mckagan at a benefit concert in New York City on Tuesday (13Sep11).
Rocker Slash was the guest of honour at the Playing It Forward fundraiser show for Road Recovery Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping young adults battling addiction.
Slash, who has been sober since 2006, took to the stage to perform with Sorum, MCKagan and Gilby Clarke, and Entourage actor Jeremy Piven later showed off his rhythm skills on the drum kit.
At the end of the evening, Slash tweeted, "Thanks to all the musicians who contributed to the Road Recovery benefit tonight. & thanks to all the fans who came & supported the cause. Cheers!"
Limited edition Slash T-shirts will be sold on the Road Recovery Foundation website to generate more cash for the cause.
