Slam Dunk Festival has hit a home run with its final band announcement as the May Day Bank Holiday event spans across three separate sites across the UK.

Joining You Me At Six, Lower Than Atlantis and The Bronx is one of the most respected modern UK metal bands, Architects.

Playing at the festival’s original home, Millennium Square in Leeds, Slam Dunk will also travel with new announcement Architects to Hatfield and Wolverhampton.

The band’s recent album Lost Forever, Lost Together entered the UK chart at number 16 and Architects have also played Radio 1 Rock Week and been touring the world over the last 18 months.

Front man Sam Carter said: "It’s going to be one to remember for us and the crowd."

Also playing Slam Dunk are California post-hardcore band Finch, Essex born and bred We Are The Ocean, Florida pop punk Set It Off and Georgia (US) band Cartel.

Slam Dunk will arrive in Leeds City Centre on Saturday, May 23, head to Hatfield on Sunday, May 24 and end in Wolverhampton City Centre on Bank Holiday Monday, May 25.
