Slade rocker Noddy Holder and The Shadows star Bruce Welch were among mourners paying tribute to The Troggs singer Reg Presley at his funeral on Thursday (14Feb13).

Presley passed away last week (beg04Feb13) following a battle with lung cancer, and around 200 of his loved ones gathered to say their farewells at a service in Basingstoke, England.

He was hailed as an "unlikely rock star" and an "extraordinary man" during the memorial before his body was cremated.

Presley's song Love Is All Around, which became a global smash hit in 1994 when it was covered by Wet Wet Wet and used in the soundtrack to Four Weddings and a Funeral, was played during the service.

Slade frontman Holder, a close friend of Presley's, was seen outside the crematorium clutching an order of service featuring a photo of his late pal.
