In 2012, he got involved with a side project called Dog Blood with Boys Noize and they released an EP, 'Next Order/Middle Finger'. He also released a limited edition triple vinyl box set and wrote the song 'Bug Hunt' for the animated movie 'Wreck-It Ralph'. Altogether he has so far won three Grammy awards.

To celebrate the release of Divergent on digital download, DVD and Blu-ray we are giving you the opportunity to win a copy of the DVD and the amazing soundtrack featuring the work of Ellie Goulding!
The hit action flick Divergent hit cinemas with a bang earlier this year. Adapted from the popular trilogy of novels by Veronica Roth and set within a dystopian, post apocalyptic Chicago with a population divided into distinct factions based on their human virtues, it was only a matter of time until words were transformed into a slick, action packed big screen adaptation.
The young and talented Shailene Woodley was the actress carefully selected to tell the thrilling story of Tris Prior who learns that she is Divergent and therefore will never be able to fit into any of these factions whilst quickly learning that there is a sinister plot brewing in her seemingly perfect society.

Sonny Moore AKA Skrillex is a name you'll be familiar with if you've so much as been to a club or a party with dance music in the last few years, given the popularity of singles such as 'Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites' and 'Bangarang' defined by huge bass drops, that get people going crazy. After several EP's Skrillex, has finally brought out a full length in the shape of 'Recess'. You wonder why now? Given that Skrillex has been a big name for a good few years now. Hopefully it's because he's been honing his craft, or it could just be that it's the right career choice at this point in time.
Starting with 'All Is Fair In Love And Brostep', it seems that Skrillex isn't taking a huge departure from his heavy bass sound of old. UK jungle act Ragga Twins feature on the track, and help make it a harsh, but fun song. 'Stranger' has a good use of low key clicking and assorted percussion sets you up for a high pitched burst of electronics, that is less predictable than a usual massive bass drop. The intro to 'Coast Is Clear' has something of a smooth jazz vibe to it in the pianos, but synths soon create something a little more familiar. Chance The Rapper lends his voice to the track and it's the best vocal performance on the album however the lyrics are pretty poor though with 'do you wanna f**k?' repeated a lot. 'Doopy Poomp' sees Skrillex unleash his inner Aphex Twin with a pretty solid ambient track, featuring chilled out, yet playful beats, warm synths towards the end and even a 'BOING' sound effect. That's the positives of 'Recess'. Now for the negatives.
'Try It Out' has a tasteful intro that promises a good song, even Alvin Risk's meaty vocals aren't exactly an ideal match for the track but they don't cause too much distress to the listener, then a 'good' old fashioned drop and flickering electronic noises completely ruins any chance the song has of being anything special. 'F**k That' has a fairly interesting beat that is quite laid back, but is way too repetitive with little variation. This makes a 3 and a half minute song feel like a 7 minute one. 'Ease My Mind' containing samples of Niki & The Dove's 'DJ Ease My Mind', has a decent dance beat in the chorus, but otherwise is boring with the slow piano style being so obvious for the vocal sample it's being put aside on, that sings of love lost. The album ends on 'Fire Away', something of an ambient house song, which is interesting for the first minute or too with icy drum tracks, but soon the song just sounds tired and you're left waiting for it to finish, tempted to even skip it altogether.

Made in America Festival is an annual music event founded by rapper and businessman Jay-Z in 2012. Following its inaugural year, it was announced to take place in Los Angeles for the later events and its arrival has since become an important symbol of unity. Jay-Z created the festival in a bid to join together musicians of all genres, creeds and cultures to emphasise the bond between music-lovers regardless of any animosity that may have existed between hip hop artists, rock artists and pop artists in the past. It is an attempt to build a world of peace and diversity because, in the words of Run DMC star Darryl McDaniels, 'Music succeeds where politics and religion fail'.
'Made In America' is a music documentary based on the new festival of the same name founded by Jay-Z who is also the movie's executive producer. It has been directed by double Oscar winner Ron Howard ('The Da Vinci Code', 'Apollo 13', 'Rush', 'A Beautiful Mind') and features behind-the-scenes clips and interviews of various music superstars including Run DMC, Rita Ora, Kanye West, Janelle Monáe, Tyler The Creator, Skrillex, Santigold and The Hives. The film premiered at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival and was nominated for 'Outstanding Television Documentary' at the Black Reel Awards.
Made In America is available on VOD and DVD 19 May 2014
There's been ups and downs, but Ultra Music Festival turned out another year of unforgettable musical energy.
Ultra Music Festival turned out to be a bit of a rollercoaster of a weekend for everyone this year but, as usual, it's been three days of some of the most explosive electronic acts of our generation.
It was a terribly disappointing moment for festival goers (and, indeed, viewers; those who were viewing it live online) when it was announced that Saturday's main stage headliner Avicii would not make it to Miami for his set after being hospitalised earlier in the week for an emergency operation. However, that initial fan frustration was greatly eased by the arrival of Deadmau5, who took the Swedish DJ's place to much delightful surprise. Further entertainment came with some eagerly anticipated headline sets from Tiesto and Hardwell on the Friday and Sunday respectively.

What can we expect from Rusko's surprise release album "Recess"?
Does anyone else remember when British dubstep producer and DJ, Rusko apologised for playing an inadvertent role in the creation of musical sub-genre ‘brostep’? The dubstep DJ admitted “Brostep is sort of my fault, but now I’ve started to hate it in a way...I kind of took it there and now everyone else has taken it too far. I tried to put a bit more energy into it...Now I think it’s gone too far, it’s got too noisy for noisy’s sake...it’s lost a little bit of the feeling”.
In the past, Skrillex has had a very loyal fan base
Clearly, Skrillex didn’t read this interview/get the memo that other DJs had begun to find brostep pretty loud and obnoxious, because he’s released a surprise album. To be fair to him, his pile of Grammys and loyal fans probably spurred him on!
This year's Ultra Music Festival looks set to be the best ever...and here's why.

Queens of the Stone Age, The Replacements, Beck and The Knife are also among the top-billed performers
Coachella 2014 will be returning to Indio, California, this spring for a two-weekend spectacular that will see some of the world's biggest performers gather in one polo field in the middle of the desert. This week the full line-up for the latest incarnation of the ever-popular festival was announced, with the bill yet another feast for the eyes (and eventually the ears too).
Big Boi and Andre 3000 will reunited for the headline performance
Eight years since their last album and eventual hiatus, Outkast will reform to headline the first day of the festival, which will kick start on the weekend of 11-13 April. The Grammy-winning hip-hop duo will be joined on the first day by fellow returnees The Knife, who released their first album in seven years - the acclaimed Shaking the Habitual - in 2013 and The Replacements, who reformed in 2012. Ellie Goulding, Chromeo, Haim, A$AP Ferg, Bryan Ferry, DJ Falcon and many others will also appear on the first day.

Weekend weather worries are minimal as forecast looks mostly clear with some sun and just a little rain over the Leeds/Reading events.
It may be nearing the end of the summer but Leeds and Reading Festival 2013 goers don't have much to worry about in terms of the unpredictable English weather this weekend (August 23rd - 25th).
The Met Office website has suggested some okay weather for Friday and Saturday with information still to come for Sunday. According to them, Leeds can expect temperatures going up to 23 degrees on Friday though mostly accompanied by clouds, while the following day seems to be a little cooler with a good chance of rain for most of the day before clearing up towards the evening. As for Reading, you lucky Southerners; you can expect rather a sunny morning and temperatures of possibly 25 degrees on the first day, though Saturday in Reading will perhaps also see some spots of rain before the evening approaches.
BBC Weather appears to be more optimistic, seeing 24 degree temperatures in Leeds and 26 in Reading on the Friday, though it looks mildly wet for most of the day on Saturday in Leeds and fairly bright in Reading. Sunday could be the nicest day of the weekend as campers emerge from their tents with their penultimate hangovers to find it brightening up in Leeds at 25 degrees and even reaching 27 in Reading. Other sources suggest similar forecasts, though there have been suggestions of a little rain on the Friday; possibly not disposable raincoat and heavy-duty wellies style weather, however.
