Sir Paul McCartney is to play a concert in Peru for the first time in his 50-year career.
The Beatles legend vowed to return to South America after wowing fans in Argentina and Brazil last year (10), and this week (beg04Apr11) he announced shows next month (May11) in Chile, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, and Peruvian capital Lima.
And he's especially thrilled about the latter show, as it will mark his first visit to the country.
MCCartney says, "We had a great time in South America at the end of last year. The audiences know how to party and me and the band are looking forward to going back in May for some more rock 'n' roll fun! This is our first show in Peru and my first time visiting there. I'm really excited about it. I've always wanted to go so I know it's going to be an extra special evening."
And the veteran musician also showed off his language skills on video-sharing website YouTube.com by posting a clip of himself announcing the Chile gig in Spanish.
