Paul McCartney is feeling better!

The 71 year-old rocker was forced to cancel several shows in the US earlier this month while he recovered from a virus.

The illness, which caused severe diarrhoea and vomiting, forced McCartney to reschedule the missed shows on the US leg of his 'Out There Tour' for this coming October.

But concertgoers can stop worrying as he now "feels great," and will resume the tour in Albany, New York, on 5th July.

The former Beatle uploaded a YouTube video to address his fans personally.

"Hey, how you doing everybody?" he asked. "Everybody has been asking me how I feel, I feel great, thank you very much for asking."

"Hey listen, this is just a note to say that the dates that were postponed, the concerts and the shows, have been rescheduled for September and October so come and see us then, we'll come and see you," Paul continued. "Feeling great, rocking and rolling, yeah!"

Although McCartney received treatment for the virus he contracted last month while visiting Japan, doctors still ordered him to keep resting, which is why seven US concerts were cancelled.
