Sir Paul McCartney has postponed a show in South America after the plane carrying his equipment failed to turn up in time.

The Beatles star was due to take to the stage in Santiago, Chile on Monday night (21Apr14), but the concert at the city's Movistar Arena was called off just hours before showtime.

A statement from MCCartney's team, posted on Twitter.com, blamed the postponement on logistical difficulties.

It reads, "Paul's show in Chile tonight is postponed until Wednesday this week. This is due to a plane carrying equipment failing to arrive on time."
