A week after Sir Paul McCartney's latest solo album, New, debuted, the brand new video for track 'Queenie Eye' premieres today (October 24, 2013). However, this isn't any old music video: the former Beatle has called on a few friends to help, with stars including Gary Barlow, Alice Eve, Kate Moss, Chris Pine, Johnny Depp, James Corden and Jeremy Irons all featured.
A Little Help From My Friends: Paul McCartney Prepared To Launch New Music Video.
The song is named after and draws inspiration from a childhood game McCartney used to play in Liverpool. "Queenie eye, queenie eye, who's got the ball? It isn't in my pocket. O-U-T spells OUT!" sang a young Macca and the same lyrics are called upon for Paul's latest, upbeat track that has been described by Q Magazine as "jaw-dropping."
Somehow, Everyone Will Fit In.
In 'The Making Of Queenie Eye' video, we see Paul talk about the inspiration behind the song: "Those kind of things always stick with you. I always liked the rhythm of the chant," he said.

McCartney surprised many of his London fans last week by appearing at an impromptu Covent Garden gig to promote his latest record. Though the time and place of the performance was only announced an hour prior via Twitter, a sizeable crowd of 2,000 assembled to hear a lunchbreak's worth of new material from the side of a giant lorry.
"Stop Being So Tall," Said McCartney To Chris Pine.
We'll see the full video when it drops at 5pm tonight (24th Oct.) but the making-of video gives us an exciting taster of what - and who - we'll see later.

The video was filmed at the legendary Abbey Road studios earlier in October and is directed by Simon Aboud. The premise of the video is farly simple: Paul begins recording the track in what he thinks is an empty studio until people begin to appear, each bringing their own personal experiences to the clip and turning the venue into a full-blown party.
With Johnny Depp [L] & Meryl Streep [R], Abbey Roads Is Turned Into A Party Venue.
In the making-of interview, we also hear Paul speak of the immense significance of Abbey Road for him, owing to his and The Beatles' close history with the world-renowned location. "It's beautiful, I love it here: it's a home away from home [...] just 'cause of all the memories," he says, taking in the surroundings that have gifted the world with some of the greatest records of all time.

American Star Trek actor Chris Pine is shown on set and he too is daunted by the immensity of Abbey Road. "[This is] beyond cool, I can't even handle it," he gushed. "I'm so scared to touch these," he laughed nervously whilst eying up the impressive array of McCartney's guitars on display.
Alice Eve Rolls Around On Top Of A Piano.
Elsewhere, British comedian James Corden fools around, making McCartney laugh raucously as actress Alice Eve poses demurely on top of a piano and Kate Moss flicks her hair. "It's Paul McCartney: it's a great honour," said Eve simply.
Jeremy Irons Debuts A Fetching Straw Boater & Waistcoat Combo.
"To have a collection of masterpieces under your belt and the fact that he's been doing it for as long as he has with the passion he has [...] it's always new, he still gets excited, he still gets curious," said Johnny Depp.
Johnny Depp Finds A Moment To Chill Out During The Busy Day Of Filming.
"I didn't know who would be in it," said Paul of his new video, adding "people just started to show up: Johnny Depp. Meryl Streep. It's turning Abbey Road into a party zone all from a little street game called Queenie Eye."
'Queenie Eye' will debut tonight, the 24th October, on VEVO at 5pm.
