Sir Paul McCartney's estranged wife Heather Mills has been accused of impersonating a British newspaper journalist with the same name in the 1990s to further her TV career. Ex-BEATLE MCCartney's former booking manager, also called HEATHER MILLS, claims her namesake pretended to be her for over a year. The investigative journalist then wrote for UK newspaper The Observer and was baffled that readers would mistake her for Mills, who lost a leg in a traffic accident. She says, "I had never heard of her and had no idea why readers would think a little-known model would also be a broadsheet newspaper correspondent. "At least they made an honest mistake. Heather Mills MCCartney did it deliberately. "She has been accused of being a mad fantasist. Certainly posing as me for such a long time adds a new dimension to her controversial and colourful career."
