British rocker Sir Paul McCartney finished off his skiing vacation at California's Lake Tahoe with an impromptu performance at the same restaurant where he surprised diners last year (03).
About 70 people crowded around McCartney at Sierra Nevada's MOODY'S BISTRO AND LOUNGE as he sang the jazz standard DON'T GET AROUND MUCH ANYMORE with the GEORGE SOUZA TRIO. He then asked the band to play the blues rocker Kansas City and altered the lyrics into a tribute to Tahoe City - a neighbouring lakefront town.
McCartney, who performed for about 15 minutes, made a similar appearance in February of last year (03) at the eatery.
Souza says, "They just kind of snuck him in through the kitchen. It was definitely a feel-good time by everybody.
"I think he seemed like he had fun. He was very gracious. I think the guy has a future in show business."
