Sir Paul McCartney is lending his support to a campaign to save his local Post Office from closure.
The Beatles star wrote a letter to plead with local authorities to allow the Post Office in Merseyside, England, near one of his homes, to remain open.
And the letter will be read out in public on Monday (10Nov07), as part of his younger brother Mike's campaign to stop the branch being shut.
Mike, 63, says, "Paul's been coming to stay at his home here for over 40 years.
"Like everyone else he pops in for milk and to post letters. He wanted to do what he could."
