Sir Paul McCartney has revealed he once wrote a song for legendary crooner FRANK SINATRA - only for it to be rejected.
The late Brat Pack leader once said that SOMETHING from THE BEATLES' ABBEY ROAD album was the greatest love song ever written. Thinking it was the work of John Lennon and Paul McCartney - it was actually written by GEORGE HARRISON - 'Ole Blue Eyes' asked McCartney to pen a song for him.
But Sinatra turned down McCartney's composition because he thought it was a joke at his expense.
McCartney says, "I once sent Frank Sinatra a song called SUICIDE.
"I thought it was quite a good one - but apparently he thought I was taking the mickey out of him and he rejected it."19/05/2003 17:20
