An unheard record of THE BEATLES singing impromptu versions of popular Christmas songs is to be auctioned, and is expected to attract bids over $16,000 (GBP10,000).
The 26-minute long collection - featuring Sir Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr performing a rendition of THE 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS among other famous festive tunes - is being auctioned on internet website ITSONLYROCKNROLL.com.
And according to MARC ZAKARIN, who founded the site, the FAB FOUR were joking around so much on the recording, their label refused to release it.
He adds, "The public has never heard a second of it."17/11/2003 09:53
