Irish singer Sinead O'connor has branded her hometown of Dublin "boring".

The 39-year-old moved back to her hometown six years ago, after spending time living in England, and she finds life back in her old stomping ground to be rather dull.

She says of Dublin, "It's nice but boring. I live in a place called Monkstown. It's the most appropriately named place in the world! Nothing ever happens there - especially sex."

But the mother-of-three admits that her 18-year-old son JAKE feels very differently about the town, adding, "Why would he move? That's what he always says to me: 'Look, why would I move? I have everything here.'

"It's good for him. He's got a six foot girlfriend - blonde, the whole thing. He travels around more than I do."
