Producer Mike Crossey recorded with the band in legendary Blackbird Studios in Nashville, to create "Get Hurt". Crossey has worked with the likes of The 1975, Arctic Monkeys, and Jake Bugg. Their grungey, synthetic sound is reflected, especially through their hard-hitting track '1,000 Years'.

Singer and guitarist of the band Brian Fallon stated, 'It wasn't exactly clear when we started what we were going to do, we just knew we had to change it up in order to maintain being a relevant band to ourselves.' The band wanted to keep their original vision and sound, whilst still being able to grow and develop their music.

'Get Hurt' is certainly different to their previous releases, in the way it is far more energetic and persistent. However, 'Get Hurts' successfully keeps intact The Gaslight Anthem's style and songwriting, in a way only they know how. 'You can never lose who you are', Fallon continued, 'If you're honest with yourself, that core remains.'

The Gaslight Anthems explosive North American tour begins today and spreads across March 2015.
