Does Laura Silverman's Pregnancy Confirm The Simon Cowell Adultery Rumors?

While Simon Cowell still hasn’t commented on the announcement that Lauren Silverman is pregnant with his child, the writing seems to have been on the wall for quite some time. Rumors that Silverman had been cheating on her husband Andrew, allegedly a good friend of Cowell’s first surfaced back in May, according to People. Back then, however, the X Factor producer’s lawyer vehemently denied any such claims.

In May, Cowell's lawyer denied the rumored affair.

"Any implication or statement that my client is engaged in adultery and has allegedly broken up the marriage of Ms. Silverman is not only false but reckless," Martin Singer told the New York Post at the time. That might have been just two months ago, but the news is entirely different now.

Cowell is yet to comment.

Now that Silverman is pregnant, however, the media frenzy has begun. Of course, like any soap opera enthusiast would know, there’s no way to know if Cowell is the father and even the pregnancy itself hasn’t been confirmed by either party. However, according to People, Cowell is also named in divorce papers filed July 15 by Laura's husband Andrew Silverman, alleging adultery. Those close to Cowell and Silverman, however, claim that the producer can’t be faulted, because the marriage was already turbulent. A source for People claimed: "It was probably not the best relationship when she first met Simon. It wasn't like they were blissfully in love at the time."

According to sources, Silverman was unhappy in her marriage.
