Simon Cowell, for those of you living under a rock for the past few weeks, is set to become a father for the first time following a secret romance with a married woman, Lauren Silverman. In spite of the controversy surrounding the conception of the child, Simon has since declared his pride and delight at finally becoming a father, and according to friends, he'll be a great dad when the time comes round.

David Walliams recently spoke to the UK's Daily Mirror to discuss his budding bromance with Simon, stating that he was one of the first people to learn about his love child earlier this year when TV's Mr Nasty confided with him back in May. Walliams told the paper, "I had this incredible information but it was a private thing, which I had to respect."

The Little Britain star and Britain's Got Talent judge also discussed his own views on the impending fatherhood, and lamented that Simon will be a wonderful father. He went on to say, “Simon has lots of experience with kids. He spends a lot of time visiting children’s hospices. He’s great with them and will absolutely love being a dad," adding, "I’m guessing people don’t know much about that. It’s not something he does to look good. He wouldn’t tell you about it himself.”

Meanwhile, Simon and Lauren, who has recently finalised her divorce from Simon's former pal Andrew Silverman, have been spending more and more time together and are apparently set to move in together in a glitzy park of New York before the birth of their child, which is due in February. Walliams went on to say that he has met Silverman, saying that “she’s lovely," and that he is "thrilled for them both.”
