The music mogul is exerting his powers of persuasion to get his fellow judge to take to the stage during the live finale of the FOX show and thinks it could be a return to form for the pop princess.
Simon told Hollyscoop: ''I'm going to push as much as possible for her to do something on the finale. I think she'll probably do it.''
Britney has shunned live performances of late, but has established herself as a strong presence on the judging panel on the second series of 'The X Factor' and Simon - who is mentoring the Groups - admitted he is nervous about the competition from her Teens.
When asked which of his fellow judges' acts he was most nervous about, Simon confessed: ''Britney's team. I think everybody in a way wanted that category because we have two or three kids in the category who are super, super talented this year.
''I think people are going to get blown away by some of the talent this year. It's so much better than what we did last year.''
He explained: ''On live TV, things do go wrong...I kind of like to see the unpredictable, and I quite like to see people under pressure just to see how they deal with it. You don't want robots, you want human beings.
''When you want to go off script, go off script. That's more fun than someone just reading on a teleprompter.''
