Music mogul Simon Cowell is backing a new lottery draw in Britain which will raise millions for health projects across the country, and he's even bought up 5,000 tickets for himself.
The TV judge has shown his support for The Health Lottery, which offers a top prize of $160,000 (£100,000) to entrants, while $80 million (£50 million) will go towards helping people across the U.K. in its first year.
Cowell has snapped up 5,000 tickets - but he's vowed to donate any winnings he receives straight back to the charity.
He tells Britain's Daily Express, "I thought it was one of those great ideas that can make a real difference and to show my support I've bought 5,000 Health Lottery tickets. Raising £50 million in the first year is going to help a huge amount of people and if my numbers come up I will put the money back into the charity."
The first prize draw is set to take place this Saturday (08Oct11).
