Simon Cowell is being beaten from pillar to post at the moment, with continued revelations about his life coming out in The Sun ahead of the full release of a biography on the music mogul, written by Tom Bower. Additional strain has come, too, with the widely reported news that Gary Barlow has gone behind Cowell's back and invited Cheryl Cole back to the UK X Factor as a mentor, in spite of the frosty relationship between Cole and her old boss.

The latest revelation to come out of extracts from Bower's biography, currently being published in The Sun, is that Cowell demanded that show bosses try to get former judge Dannii Minogue to return, claiming "Bring her back to X Factor... everyone will be looking at her t*ts." The demand came shortly after his and Minogue's affair was made public knowledge in May, and Cowell also admitted that he was obsessed with "her hair, the sexy clothes - and the t*ts."

Recently it was also revealed that Cowell had suffered a serious mental breakdown this summer, and was told by his Los Angeles doctor to stop taking any supplements and health aids. "I desperately need peace. I'm craving normality. I've got to work out my demons and come out of it" he reportedly told Louis Walsh, confiding "I have to get back to where I was years ago. I had to stop reading texts at three in the morning and making calls later and later. I wanted peace."
