Simon Cowell has warned Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle not to be 'distracted' by the attention lavished upon her before the semi-finals of the reality show.
The 48-year-old Scot, who wowed the judges with a spectacular performance of 'I Dreamed A Dream' from Les Miserables in an earlier episode of the programme, is receiving international attention for her singing talents.
But Cowell, who will judge Boyle in the next stage alongside several other acts hoping to land a headline place in the Royal Variety Performance, has sounded a note of caution.
Speaking to reporters in Los Angeles, Cowell said: "She has got four weeks to prepare for the biggest night of her life, and she has got to sing better than she sang before with all those expectations on her.
"But it could all go horribly wrong for her because there are so many other distractions."
Issuing direct advice to the church volunteer, Cowell added: "Get yourself together sweetheart for the big one - the semi-final.
"Shut the door, choose the right song and come back as who you are, not who you want to be."
