Music mogul Simon Cowell was left fuming on the set of talent contest WORLD IDOL, when he realised all the international judges were trying to copy his famously abrasive style.

Cowell found fame with his sharp-tongued put-downs on the original British series of Pop Idol, and then repeated his success with American Idol.

So he was stunned when World Idol, in which international Pop Idol winners will compete against each other this Christmas (25DEC03), was taken over by copycat judges.

Cowell was especially annoyed by KUBA WOJEWODZKI, the Polish judge, who told British entry Will Young that his version of LIGHT MY FIRE sounded like "MR BEAN singing Jim Morrison".

Cowell fumes, "Every one of these people has based themselves on me. I thought, 'We've got two competitions going on here.'"
