Actress Sienna Miller has been left forever traumatised after meeting a gang rape victim in the Democratic Republic of Congo who was violated by the butt of a rifle.
In a powerful post on the Huffington Post website, the actress recently explained the story of the young woman she met during trip to Africa with the International Medical Corps - revealing the girl was raped so brutally she will have to use a colostomy bag for the rest of her life.
And in a new Nylon magazine interview, the Brit admits she'll never forget the look on the beaten woman's face.
She says, "I was just looking into her eyes, and she was utterly broken. How can you have hope?
"She had been raped by men with the butt of a rifle. Her whole stomach had been split open, and I saw it. She was scarred all the way down."
