The actor has freestyled his way into Sway's heart.
If you're one of those people who find Shia LaBeouf perpetually annoying, prepare to reluctantly like him a little from now on. He appeared on the radio show Sway's Universe and delivered one of the most kickass freestyles we've ever heard from a non-professional rapper.
Shia LaBeouf has got a mean flow
The 'American Honey' star proved he had a mean flow when Sway Calloway challenged him to a freestyle session in a special edition of the show's popular segment '5 Fingers of Death', with beats provided by Tupac, The Notorious B.I.G. and Missy Elliott.
The subject of rap music was broached when Sway asked about the tattoos of hip-hop icons that Shia has tattooed on him, the icons in question being Pac, Biggy and Missy. 'Those are my favourite MCs', Shia said.
He went on to blow the team away with the challenge which took place on Sway in the Morning today (November 11th 2016) while the actor was in New York City. Between the nonsensical yet somehow beautiful strings of random rhyming sentences, he rapped about his infamous plagiarism accusations, the fact that people constantly ask about his tats and predicted that this killer clip of him spitting rhymes would 'go viral'.
Earlier this year Shia explained away the reason why he suddenly had a bunch of tattoos. It's was all a part of hanging out with a real life traveling magazine sales crew in preparation for his role in 'American Honey'. 'One of the things we'd do as a group, we'd all go to the f***ing tattoo shop', he said in an interview with Variety. 'I don't love Missy Elliott like I wanna get two Missy Elliott tattoos. But you're in a tattoo parlour, and... peer pressure.'
