Shia LaBeouf caused an internet storm when he claimed he would be filming 'real' sex scenes for Lars Von Trier's forthcoming movie 'Nymphomaniac'. With Charlotte Gainsbourg and Nicole Kidman also starring in the film - the rumour mill inevitably went into overdrive.
Shia - currently starring in 'Lawless' - told MTV News, "[The movie] is what you think it is. It is Lars von Trier, making a movie about what he's making. For instance, there's a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says we're doing it for real. Everything that is illegal, we'll shoot in blurred images. Other than that, everything is happening". Von Trier's 'Nymphomaniac' is expected to be a sexually explicit movie, though it appears Shia may not have been telling the whole truth about his role in proceedings. According to Danish newspaper Politiken, none of the stars will be filming real sex scenes, and a press release from Hammer PR (translated by the Toronto Sun) said, "Because of censorship, the film will be distributed in different versions. Also, it has to be said that the sex scenes in the film will be performed by body doubles and by various visual effects". Politiken says the movie is likely to become two movies, one dealing with childhood and youth, and another dealing with the main character's life until the age of 50.
Stellan Skarsgard and Connie Nielsen will also star in the movie which starts shooting in Germany this week, as will British actor JAMIE BELL.
