Sheryl Crow is urging the American people to save the country's wild mustangs - in a bid to stop them from becoming extinct.
The All I Wanna Do singer makes her desperate plea in new TV documentary Saving The American Wild Horse, which airs in the U.S. on Monday (07Jul08), reports the New York Daily News.
Crow, who has adopted a mustang called Colorado, is concerned the creatures are being sacrificed in a big business drive for Western lands.
She says, "I think it will be a real shame when we look back and we don't have these incredible species, and I guess my best hope would be that people, individuals, step up at this point and really protect these animals."
