Rocker Sheryl Crow is getting acoustic for a new covers album she's recording specifically for coffee shop chain Starbucks.

The singer is recording new versions of her favourite tunes by the likes of Aretha Franklin, James Taylor and Willie Nelson for the project, SHERYL CROW ARTIST'S CHOICE.

Fellow female rocker ALANIS MORISSETTE sparked a boycott of her music in HMV Canada stores earlier this month (JUN05) after she agreed to sell an acoustic version of her 1995 album JAGGED LITTLE PILL in the coffee chain.
