Sheryl Crow - A host of stars including previous cast members were snapped as they arrived to the Rockerfeller Plaza for Saturday Night Live as it celebrated it's 40th anniversary with a star studded gala in New York, United States - Monday 16th February 2015
After having a music career that spanned five decades and saw the release of over 70 studio albums, country music superstar, Glen Campbell, was hit with a major tragedy. In June 2011, Campbell announced to his worldwide fan base that he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease six months earlier. What followed was a 'goodbye tour' of epic proportions. The tour was originally scheduled for five weeks, but in almost no time at all, that five weeks blossomed into a 151-week tour of sold-out concerts as fans across the globe flocked to see and support the musical legend before his retirement for the industry. His final performance came in 2012, at that year's Grammy Awards Ceremony were he performed his most famous and most loved song, 'Rhinestone Cowboy'.

The line-up for Tortuga 2014 is a thrilling mix of veterans and newcomers; from Hank Williams, Jr. to Brett Eldredge.
Following the excitement of the Academy of Country Music Awards at the weekend, it's only right to give a little reminder of what's coming next weekend: Tortuga Music Festival hits Fort Lauderdale, Florida on April 12th-13th 2014!
It may be over 600 miles away from its namesake location in Haiti, but Florida's sandy Fort Lauderdale Beach Park nonetheless provides a perfect sun-soaked setting for the country, rock and roots event. Not only have you got a beautiful location and, of course, an incredible line-up, but by attending this festival you'll also be making a significant contribution to the Rock The Ocean Foundation - helping to raise money for ocean related research, conservation and education.
Several well-dressed familiar females hit the seats at the Marchesa Spring/Summer 2014 show which took place during the Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week. Among them were 'What Happens In Vegas' actress Lake Bell and 'Twilight' star Ashley Greene, the latter of which was rather impatient while posing for photographers on leaving the show, but happily let a nearby fan get a quick snap on her phone.
During an interview on the 'Today' programme, Mick Jagger revealed he thought about becoming a teacher, a journalist and a politician before 'The Rolling Stones' were formed.
Mick Jagger considered being a teacher, a politician and a journalist. 'Start Me Up' singer revealed his early career plans during a televised interview. Speaking on the Today programme, The Rolling Stones singer said a career as "a schoolteacher would have been very gratifying". Had the singer gone on to be a teacher he would have kept his families' tradition as both his father and grandfather were teachers.

The Voice is really hotting up in the latter stages.
The top eight singers on The Voice took their performances to another level on Monday evening (May 27, 2013), with fire, feather and cowboy boots playing prominent roles in a number of blinged up turns. Blake Shelton had kicked off the show with a rendition of his latest hit 'Round Here,' though things soon got serious, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
On Team Adam Levine, it was Judith Hill who seriously impressed with a reinterpreated rendition of Will.i.am and Justin Bieber's #ThatPower. "That hair is badass - I guarantee you, Adam has been on the phone with Cee Lo [Green] this week!" said Shelton of Judith's huge mohawk. Sarah Simmons struggled a little with Gotye's 'Somebody That I Used To Know' while Amber Carrington didn't quite manage to convey the majesty of Adele's Oscar winning track 'Skyfall.'
On Team Blake, Holly Tucker chose to perform 'Done' by the Band Perry and ultimately succeeded. "There were big notes in this song, and you hit them and took them up to another level," said Usher. Over on Team Shakira, Sasha Allen was assigned 'Without You' by David Guetta and Usher, "I started comparing myself to Sasha as a singer, and that's not good [for me]," said Shelton. "I think you bought Shakira another week, for sure."

Sheryl Crow and Lance Armstrong dated from 2003 until 2006, before breaking off their engagement. However, during the relationship, Armstrong rode in the Tour de France twice - and won both times. It has since emerged that the disgraced cycling took performance enhancing drugs during both races, catapulting country singer Crow into the spotlight.
Celebuzz.com has learned that the nine-time Grammy winner was named twice in affidavits submitted to the United States Anti-Doping Association, which blew the whistle on the Tour de France winner. According to Armstrong's former teammate Frankie Andreu, the cyclist summoned him to a room in 2004 in a bid to persuade him to convince his wife Betsy to sign a statement retracting her claim that Armstrong told doctors treating him for cancer that he'd taken steroids, human growth hormone, cortisone and EPO. The hospital admission was first reported in a 2004 book co-written by Irish journalist David Walsh titled L.A. Confidentiel, which was only published in in French. In it, Andreu claimed "Lance called me to his room to discuss the situation. He told me that Bill Stapleton (Armstrong's agent) wanted to talk to me about the hospital room and have my wife sign a statement of support for Lance saying the hospital incident did not happen. His girlfriend at the time, Sheryl Crow, was in the room and I felt uncomfortable talking about this in front of her so I did not say much."
It's the first time that Crow, 50, has been directly implicated in Armstrong's doping conspiracy. In an interview to air on Tuesday (January 22, 2013), the country singer tells Entertainment Tonight, "I think that honesty is always the best bet and that the truth will set you free. To carry around a weight like that would be devastating in the long run." She said she caught "bits and pieces" of Armstrong's much-hyped interview with Oprah Winfrey last week.

The 2012 CMT Country Music Awards took place on Monday (December 3, 2012) in Nashville but this year, the winners will be kept top secret until Saturday December 8, when the star-studded show will be broadcast at 10pm on CMT. The 90 minute special will be hosted by Rascal Flatts and Hayden Panettiere and will feature performances from some of country music’s biggest stars, as well as appearances from a number of A-list sports and entertainment stars.
Amongst those treading the boards for the illustrious awards show were Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Kenny Chesney and Sheryl Crow and also making an appearance on the night were the Academy Award winning actor Morgan Freeman, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Sammy Hagar, Metallica’s James Hetfield, the shock-rocker Kid Rock and Miranda Lambert. From the world of sport, the Atlanta Braves’ Chipper Jones put in an appearance, as did the Nashville Predators’ Mike Fisher.
This is the first year that CMT have kept the lid on the list of honorees. As a result, country music fans will have to wait until the weekend if they want a slice of the action, when the 90-minute special is aired. According to CMT’s press release, the show will be “the most exclusive gathering of country music superstars of the year and celebrates the class of 2012 with an incredible evening of wall-to-wall performances and special appearances from others in entertainment.”
Sheryl Crow is getting behind a new campaign to ensure that America's poorest families have access to healthy meals. The writer of hits like All I Wanna Do, A Change Would Do You Good and Everyday Is A Winding Road has recently been lending a hand at food banks around New York and found herself stunned to see working-class parents having to approach organisers for help to feed their children.

"This is one of those avant-garde things, is it?" says a droll, dubious and dying Cole Porter (Kevin Kline) as he sits in an empty theater at the beginning of "De-Lovely," watching his life pass before his eyes on the stage, in a production conducted by an enigmatic, ironic, ethereal director named Gabe (Jonathan Pryce).
The answer to his question is a delighted "yes." This film is an imaginative, deconstructionist, celebratory musical biography woven together from elements of theater, meta-cinema, chamber drama and Porter's own MGM musicals with gratifying -- if deliberately glossy -- results.
Kline opens the picture as a frail but feisty old man (the age makeup is remarkable) who, as he watches his own story unfold, is alternatively tickled ("Oh, look, it's an opening number!"), critical ("He'd never wear that! Change it."), fondly reminiscent and pained by regret. And the actor also plays the younger Porter in the bulk of the picture, which has a merry, dreamlike quality to its stop-and-start interactions with the elderly Porter and his theatrical spirit guide.
