Rapper Shawty Lo is facing a lawsuit from two producers who allege they are owed royalties from work on his debut album.
Producers Cory Way and Teriyakie Smith are suing the Foolish hitmaker and D4L Records for allegedly not paying them advances they were promised before they hit the studio for the 2008 record, as well as a percentage of the royalties.
In a lawsuit filed at the Superior Court of Fulton County in Georgia last month (Oct11), Way claims he is owed $22,500 ($14,000) in advances, as well as a two per cent royalty rate. Smith wants $30,000 (£18,000) for his work on the album, according to AllHipHop.com.
The pair is seeking a total of $200,000 ((£125,000) in damages.
