Sharon Stone is suing a Hollywood producer for money she was offered as part of a film deal that went sour.
The Basic Instinct star claims movie mogul Bob Yari asked her to falsify U.S. documents so she could film a new Ernest Hemingway biopic in Cuba - and when she turned him down he recast the role, and refused to hand over the $500,000 (Gbp312,000) she claims she was promised.
According to the lawsuit, obtained by Tmz.com, the actress needed legal clearance to take the trip to Cuba and Yari asked her to lie to get the permission she needed, suggesting her travel plans were part of "a cultural endeavor".
Stone, who was initially cast as Hemingway's wife Mary, is suing for the $500,000.
The film, Papa, is currently in development, according to IMDb.com. There are no casting details.
