Rock matriarch Sharon Osbourne has joined forces with British royal Prince Charles in a bid to inspire young people to transform their lives.

The former reality TV star, whose husband Ozzy once played a rock set on the roof of Queen Elizabeth II's official London residence, Buckingham Palace, has become an ardent supporter of Prince Charles' charity project The Prince's Trust.

And she is keen to help struggling teens live life to the full.

She says, "But what happens if no one gives you a chance, never believed in you?

"This is the reality for so many of today's young people who need help.

"Every day young people are leaving care or dropping out of school and just give up on themselves.

"They don't think anyone cares. But the Prince's Trust recognises they have a lot to give. That's why I'm a big fan."
