Sharon Osbourne's decision to sign on as a spokesperson for the Atkins Diet plan was inspired by a weightloss contest between her and husband Ozzy.
The rock matriarch-turned-Tv personality admits she became a big fan of the company's programme after watching the pounds drop off her husband.
She tells U.S. news show Entertainment Tonight rocker Ozzy has already lost 18 pounds (11.2 kilograms) on the diet - and she's not far behind.
She says, "I don't like to call it a diet because it's a way of life. You can eat as much as you want of certain foods. So it's really not a diet, it's a change of life."
Osbourne, who turns 60 next month (Oct12), has battled weight issues for much of her adult life and underwent lap-band surgery in 1999 in a desperate attempt to slim down.
