LATEST: Sharon Osbourne is refusing to apologise for her part in the near-riot that ruined Iron Maiden's final show of the Ozzfest tour earlier this month (AUG05).

Iron Maiden were pelted with debris by fans when sound problems wrecked their show in California on 21 August. The group's manager ROD SMALLWOOD then lashed out at the unprofessional conduct of Osbourne and her fellow Ozzfest organisers.

Osbourne admits she sabotaged the band's performance after becoming upset by Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson's constant onstage jibes aimed at her husband, headliner Ozzy Osbourne, and the Ozzfest faithful.

But the rock matriarch flatly refuses to say sorry for her actions.

She says, "Come on. It's rock 'n' roll. No one died.

"They'll be waiting a long time for an apology from me."

In a statement released last Thursday (25AUG05), Osbourne said, "Was Dickinson so naive to think that I was going to let him get away with talking s**t about my family night after night? I don't think he realises who he's dealing with."
