Shania Twain has revealed after two years in her memoir how she put her 'heart, soul and dreams' into her New Zealand home, whilst her husband was simultaneously having an affair. Shania Twain has written about the end of her 14-year-old marriage with producer Robert "Mutt" Lange, and how she ended up marrying his mistress' former husband Fredrich.
In her book 'From this Moment On', she writes: 'Our New Zealand trips were usually spent in three- to four-month stretches. During this stretch in New Zealand, Mutt returned to Switzerland twice, while I stayed behind.' When the 45-year-old country singer returned to Switzerland in March 2008, she discovered that her husband was having an affair with his secretary, who also happened to be Twain's friend: 'The same friend who'd comforted me over the phone, expressing how absurd it was of me to have any such suspicions of my husband. The idea that she was the mistress... had not even entered my mind.' After sending a pleading e-mail to his mistress that was 'begging her to leave my husband alone', Shania Twain reveals that the reply simply said: 'I can't control your husband's feelings for me. It's not my fault he loves me.' The divorce was finalised in June 2010.
This year, Shania was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. Shania has revealed that she is writing music and that new music will be heard soon.
