Late night talk show host Seth Meyers has banned Donald Trump from his show, in retaliation for the Republican presidential hopeful’s decision to ban the Washington Post from covering his campaign.

On Tuesday night’s edition of ‘Late Night’, host Meyers said that Trump had hit a “new low” for his remarks in the wake of the massacre that left 49 people dead and many more injured at a gay club in Orlando, Florida at the weekend.

“When it comes to bigotry, Trump keeps upping his game,” Meyers said. “He’s like if Joseph McCarthy was exposed to gamma radiation and became a racist orange Hulk with tiny hands. Hulk mad, hands too small to smash.”

‘The Big Bang Theory’ actress Kaley Cuoco admitted that she was completely starstruck when she met her idol Jennifer Aniston at the recent ‘Friends’ reunion three months ago.

Speaking on Tuesday night’s (May 10th) edition of ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’, 30 year old Cuoco recalled fangirling Aniston when she discovered that she and the rest of the ‘TBBT’ cast were sat next to the ‘Friends’ table at the filming of NBC’s ‘All-Star Tribute to James Burrows’.

Jennifer Lawrence told Seth Meyers, to his face, that she used to have a crush on him years ago and was once on the verge of asking him out, because she didn’t know that he was engaged.

25 year old Lawrence appeared on ‘Late Night’ on NBC on Tuesday night (December 15th), and made a few eyebrow-raising revelations about her celebrity crushes, which included the show’s presenter himself. In early 2013, when he was the head writer at ‘Saturday Night Live’, Lawrence guest-hosted the show and was hoping to get his number, before a costume fitter informed her that Meyers was already spoken for.

Seth Meyers' new hosting duties have just doubled.

The 40 year-old funyman has signed on to emcee the 2014 Emmy Awards.

The ceremony, which will be the 66th addition, will take place live from L.A.'s Nokia Theatre on August 25th.

What a year it’s been for Seth Meyers so far, first a late night chat show on NBC and now the former 'SN'L writer has been named as this years 'Emmy’s' host. Whilst NBC audiences are currently getting to know Seth a little better on late nights, we thought we’d delve a little further into the comedian’s past before his 'Emmy's' hosting gig.

Seth Meyers has moved from 'SNL' to 'Late Night' on NBC

Born in Illinois but raised in New Hampshire, Seth Meyers is the son of a French teacher and a finance worker. After graduating from Manchester High School West, Meyers attended Northwestern University in Evanston, where he became a member of the fraternity Phi Gamma Delta. Whilst at university Meyers got his start in comedy as a member of the Northwestern University improv sketch group Mee-Ow. He then joined improv group Preponderate who performed at the ImprovOlympic theatre in Chicago. He also further honed his improv skills preforming as an overseas cast member of Amsterdam based improv group Boom Chicago of which his brother Josh was a member.

Lena Dunham has experienced an unsettling scrape with US airport security after a self-defence keychain was spotted in her luggage. Speaking to Seth Meyers on Late Night, Lena spoke of the experience that left her shaken and shocked at LAX airport after she returned from visiting Ohio. "I'm actually getting nervous talking about it, so if I do a bad job retelling the story, it's because it's so stressful for me to relive it!" she exclaimed.

It looks like Seth Meyers is going for the “start slow and build up from there” approach with his move to Late Night – that’s if his first show is any indication, at least. Taking over from Fallon, who started his Tonight Show run with a rooftop performance by U2 and more celebrity cameos than we could count last week, Meyers struck a completely different note. His hosting style seems to be much more about sharp one liners and crisp delivery, than anything else, really. He did mimic Fallon in one respect though – Meyers used the long-running Late Night segment “Thank You Notes” to send his predecessor a message of gratitude. Seated at his desk, Meyers wrote a letter to Jimmy Fallon, promising to treat Late Night "with respect and dignity and to only use it to do completely original comedy pieces … starting now.” Ha.

Meyers' first Late Night set a completely different tone.

His guests for the night were carefully chosen, obviously to pay homage to Meyers’ SNL roots. For his first guest, Meyers welcomed "Parks and Recreation" star Amy Poehler. Friends since they both joined the cast of "SNL" in 2001, the two shared an easy rapport. Poehler had nothing but encouragement for her former colleague. Mostly.

With all the fuss over Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show takeover, another pending move has gone somewhat overlooked. Now it’s time for Seth Meyers to step into the spotlight, as he takes over NBC’s Late Night. It’s been a strange month over at NBC.

Unlike Fallon, Meyers' style is less about improv and more about the writing and topical sketches.

This week’s Saturday Night Live was hosted by Melissa McCarthy and featured some great sketches with her, but it was really Seth Meyers who stole the show. And rightfully so – it was Meyers’ last episode at the Weekend Update desk. Joined by former SNL co-stars Bill Hader (as Stefon) and Amy Poehler, Meyers was given a proper Weekend Update sendoff.

Meyers is moving on to the next step of his career – replacing Jimmy Fallon as the host of Late Night – but that doesn’t mean there weren’t some emotional goodbyes. "This is the job I always wanted, and I had the best time," Meyers said in lieu of a witty closing line at the end of his last Weekend Update.

As Seth Meyers readies himself to assume his seat at the Late Night desk next month, the departing Saturday Night Live regular has left some important gaps on the show that need filling. One of these gaps is on the anchor's chair for the show's 'Weekend Update,' a gap that SNL executive producer and creator Lorne Michaels has managed to get sorted out already.

Jost has worked on SNL for almost a decade

Head writer and some-time performer Colin Jost is due to assume Meyer's place on the Weekend Update hot seat, beside current anchor Cecily Strong, who began her stint as co-anchor at the start of the current season. The move will take place next month, when Meyers finally jumps ship and takes over from Jimmy Kimmel on NBC's Late Night.

Jimmy Fallon's reign as host of Late Night has come to a timely finish and after the comic aired the compilation special The Best of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon on Sunday, 5 December, night it was very much the beginning of the end. Not to worry though, as the final bow from Fallon on the Late Show came with a friendly reminder that Fallon will be back in even bigger shoes to walk in very soon.

As the trailer (watch below) points out, Fallon is moving on to continue 60 years of television tradition when he replaces Jay Leno as host of The Tonight Show next month, and the trailer doesn't toy around with how important the gig is for Fallon. Featuring clips of every Tonight Show host to fall before him, from Jack Paar, Carnac the Magnificent (and Johnny Carson in normal attire), a very young Jay Leno, Steve Allen and even Conan O'Brien, the emphasis on what Fallon faces isn't sugarcoated. After all, we don't want another Conan-fiasco again do we?

Just in case you had forgotten – we hadn’t – Jimmy Kimmel is set to take over The Tonight Show with Jay Leno from February 17. He made it official today, by tweeting the brand new logo for the show, now featuring his name. In case you want to get in on the social media action, the hashtag is #FallonTonight.

Fallon is excited to take over the Tonight Show from longtime host Leno.

It was announced earlier this year, that after many shifts at NBC, Leno would be replaced by Fallon and The Tonight Show will return to his original home in NYC. Before Fallon leaves his current home at Late Night, however, he will bow out one last time, with a special episode of the show, commemorating his run. A special, entitled “Best of Late Show with Jimmy Fallon” is set to air early in 2014. Fallon will then be replaced with Saturday Night Live alumn Seth Meyers, because NBC likes to keep it in the family apparently. Fallon even talked to the NY Daily News about some possible improvements that’ll be brought to the Tonight Show after his takeover.

Seth Meyers, star of Saturday Night Live, married his long-term girlfriend Alexi Ashe on Sunday. The wedding ceremony took place in Martha's Vineyard and was attended by such guests as Andy Samberg, Ali Larter, Olivia Munn, Jason Sudeikis, Allison Williams, Kristen Wiid, Amy Poehler and a number of others.

Meyer's representative confirmed to People the couple did tie the knot this weekend. Another source, also speaking to the US entertainment website, said "They are so in love and really excited for their big day. They were really happy to celebrate their big day with their close friends and family."

Seth Meyers has gotten engaged to Alexi Ashe, his attorney girlfriend for a number of years, US Weekly have reported. The Saturday Night Live comic has apparently been contemplating getting on one knee for at least two years now, and has decided that now the time is finally right for him to commit his future to Ashe. Congratulations to the both of them!

Netflix is to launch in the Netherlands in late 2013. The streaming giant is currently available in 40 countries worldwide and provides a range of film and television shows on demand. It is the biggest internet television channel with 36 million users, according to their website. 

Fees for subscription are relatively low especially in comparison with other commercial television channels such as Sky and Virgin. Dutch users, as in the 40 countries where it is currently available, will be able to stream videos from their computer, tablet, mobile, television or any device which has internet connection.

The company has expanded dramatically since it was established in 2009. In doing so Netflix has been able to finance a number of independent projects including their critically acclaimed (and hugely popular) dramas such as House of Cards and Arrested Development.
