Selena Gomez, the 18-year-old singer and girlfriend of Justin Bieber, was rushed to hospital after appearing on 'The Tonight Show' with Jay Leno on Thursday (9th June 2011), reports Tmz.com. Selena Gomez began feeling unwell during the programme and complained of nausea and severe headaches afterwards.
Gomez is currently still in hospital in Los Angeles where she is undergoing tests, but the exact cause of her illness is still unknown. Shortly before falling ill, Gomez was joined by comedian Jim Carrey on the talk show, who explained he was suffering from a lung infection. The 18-year-old singer didn't appear in any discomfort while chatting with Leno about current boyfriend Bieber. The late-night host asked, "Now, has your mom met Justin Bieber?...Did she like him?", to which Gomez replied, "Yes.He passed the test". After months of speculation, the couple finally went public with their relationship at the Billboard Music Awards in May 2011. Bieber, who scooped six awards at the star-studded bash, was spotted kissing Gomez in front of the sold out Mgm Grand audience.
Selena Gomez is set to star in the adventure-comedy movie 'Monte Carlo', about three young women vacationing in Paris. The film also stars Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy and will hit cinemas on 1st July 2011.
