Napster founder Sean Parker has settled a dispute with California Coastal Commission officials after they charged him with failing to get a proper permit for his woodland wedding.

The technology billionaire splashed out millions for his 1 June (13) back-to-nature ceremony at the Ventana Inn & Spa, where he exchanged vows with singer Alexandra Lenas - but he didn't apply for a permit from the environmental agency to erect a stone bridge, dig a pond and build a dancefloor amid Big Sur's redwood forest.

Parker, who cancelled a Bora Bora honeymoon to deal with the drama created by his wedding party, has moved quickly to end the feud between himself, venue bosses and the environmentalists by agreeing to pay a $2.5 million (£1.6 million) fine, which will help agency bosses enhance access to Big Sur's coastline, trails and forests.

Sting, Emma Watson and Sean Lennon were among the stars who attended the nuptials, according to the Los Angeles Times.
