Skirts and kilts worn by Sean Connery, Kurt Cobain, Boy George and MEL GIBSON are part of a new exhibition looking at men sporting women's fashions.

BRAVEHEARTS: MEN IN SKIRTS - which will also include the dress/coat worn by Keanu Reeves in the matrix trilogy - will open at New York's METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART on 4 November (03).

The three-month show, featuring designers such as Giorgio Armani and Vivienne Westwood, will examine counterculture movements which promote the idea of men in skirts - from the hippies of the 1960s to rockers such as No Doubt's Adrian Young.
