Sean Combs has sparked rumours he is angling for a cameo role in the next The Hangover sequel after he was spotted meeting with director Todd Phillips.
The rapper has been pursuing an acting career over the last few years, landing a two-episode role in Csi: Miami, a slot on Hawaii Five-0 and a part opposite Russell Brand in 2010 comedy Get Him to the Greek.
He also won his first Oscar in February (12) after working as an executive producer on sports documentary Undefeated, which was named Best Documentary Feature at the Academy Awards.
Combs is now said to be going after a role in the third film in Phillips' popular comedy series after he was seen having lunch with the moviemaker in Los Angeles last week (ends22Apr12), according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.
A representative for Combs tells the publication, "I can tell you Sean is in L.A. aggressively working on his film career and a follow-up to Greek."
The first two films in the franchise included cameos from former boxer Mike Tyson, and the second movie was due to feature a small appearance by Mel Gibson, but the scene was eventually cut.
The third installment is expected to start filming in September (12) ahead of a May 2013 release date.
