P Diddy received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday
The American rapper and business man, real name Sean Combs, was honoured by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for his contribution to the entertainment industry.
The rapper was joined at the ceremony by actor Jamie Foxx and three-time Grammy award-winning record executive Antonio 'LA' Reid, who also spoke at the ceremony.
A string of parties in honour of P Diddy are being thrown over the weekend.
Diddy, 38, who plans to divide his time between California and New York in order to pursue an acting career, and is currently house hunting in LA, told the Associated Press: "It's like my coming-out party here in Hollywood."
The rapper was expected to blow £2million on a lavish party to celebrate receiving his star last night, with the likes of David and Victoria Beckham, Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and Eva Longoria Parker invited to mark the occasion.
Prior to the party, source told the Daily Mirror that: "It's a huge honour for P Diddy to be recognised in Hollywood. He came from Harlem and on Friday the creme de la creme of Hollywood will salute him."
